  1. Whatever happened to the MSO alliance (supposedly implemented) promise to warn/shut off their customers involved in piracy?

    FUD? Or something else?

  2. “Six Strikes went into effect in February and is still truckin’”

    Your link notes:

“Thus far the number of alerts being sent out under the program appears to be minimal.”

Never made sense to me why non-content-owning MSO’s like Verizon and Time Warner Cable would want to help out utterly unrelated parties at the cost of alienating their customers just out of the goodness of their li’l hearts.

Again, I wonder: FUD? Or something else?

I mean, if it were something really real, the GoT phenomenon would be severely impacted, no? (Of course, I’m of the opinion that Time-Warner thinks HBO Go is enough to adequately deal with torrential behavior in the short-term. But if six strikes were something really real, it wouldn’t be Time-Warner making the calls on something the issue anyway…)
