ReBirth is a 12 year old PC app that emulates a series of classic drum machines, allowing you to make digital music with a computer. This week, the folks behind the original ReBirth app ported it to the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s available for download from the App Store for $6.99, which is pretty crazy given all the functionality that the app has.

It includes several virtual drum machines, bassline synths, a series of digital effects including distortion, compression, and pattern control, automation, and all the tools you need to create and edit songs on your mobile device. Read the rest of this entry »
