Nice video man. It looks like the avatar bullsh*t is gonna be the same as the gamer pics and themes bullsh*t – which completely sucks. I don’t see why they can’t let you customize your stuff without trying to bleed your wallet dry. I would enjoy changing up my avatar but I’m not spending one single penny on this destined to be rape-tastic cash-cow.

I’ve always wanted a virtual pair of metal steampunk goggles for $1. My first and last avatar marketplace purchase. Although, I do imagine this will separate many kids from their parents cash.

Dave, I too have noticed much better streaming from Netflix on TiVo the last month or so vs the first month it was released…Granted I dont have any other netflix devices to compare it to.

I’m not giving away all the ingredients of my secret sauce, but suffice to say there are multiple ways to record video with or without a computer. I’ll save it for a blog post.

Other than giving the updates a quick run through, I didn’t do any extensive testing. So, I’m unsure if the Netflix video quality is better. Microsoft claims it is (and that HDMI connections are handled better) and I don’t have any reason to doubt that. But who knows if its visibly/significantly improved.

I did use Netflix on my TiVo for the first time in months the last couple days instead of the Roku. Seems much more stable, more smooth, and picture quality looked quite nice than I recall.

Dave, nice video. The new Netflix features look good, did you notice any improvements in performance?

Also, what did you use for the recording?
