After years of putting it off I finally installed and learned how to use Hotspot Shield last week. It worked wonderfully. I was all set to write a blog post about it. Wouldn’t you know it, within a week Hulu has found a way to block it!
I just tested it and indeed I’m blocked. I’ll still use Hotspot Shield for the plethora of other free services not available in Canada (eg: Pandora, last.fm) for so long as it works. But, once again, it sucks to be a new media enthusiast when you live in Canada.

It’s costs money but try purevpn.com. I think they’ll give you a trial if you ask. VPNs to US,UK,Canada, and Germany. 6 bucks a month or less is worth it I think.
Yes, the Hulu blocking is ridiculous. Do the other VPN services still work? I suppose Hulu can block individual IP addresses of other services also. Used to love HotSpot Shield! The only bad thing is that I just got a new computer and they didn’t support 64 bit.

i m using hotspot shield for last 2 years and it was working good until a few days agao now the problem i m facing is this that it connect but in spite of the shield i cant open any blocked sites here in UAE, can anybody help me plz????

It’s seems that Hotspot Shield has changed the IPs and Hulu can be accessed again without problems. Unfortunately, I think it will not last.

Adrian, I just tried again, May 12, cleared my cookies and restarted my browser. Hulu is still blocked.
I am a cdn w hotspot sheild on my macbook and i am blocked on hulu.. my roomate has no issues on his pc desktop. does it have something to do with wifi??

similar to the others,downloaded the shield and it worked beautifully in the PRC for the past 2 weeks, but not anymore…
The only way to access hulu is by using FreeVPN ?
But it is very slow and bad connection
