Implementing a DVR with FMS is possible. This module however will ease the publishing to adobe’s cdn. Easy but costly for the end user IMO.

Move Networks does not use FMS; period. Neither does Microsoft Silverlight. Go do some diligence.

Actually; Move Networks (www.movenetworks.com) has enabled DVR for Live for *years*, literally. They used it from the Democratic National Convention they carried, as well as at ESPN360.com.

So… not exactly new.

Unfortunately that goes beyond my knowledge set, but Adobe does have a blog that goes into some details. See: http://blogs.adobe.com/ktowes/. The big thing they’re promoting is drag-and-drop functionality.

Would be interested to know the geeky details of how efficient Adobe’s file format is against the proprietary one’s used by other CDNs. What’s the cost savings on bandwidth?
