Free MLB.com Audio Streaming @ Holiday Inn

I waited until the last minute to book this trip to NYC and find myself in possibly the only Holiday Inn Express that charges over $400/night. To soften the blow, they’re providing free MLB.com audio streaming via the (also gratis) wired Internet connection. I generally forgo in-room network connectivity, opting instead for my travel router and 3G card – Fortunately (ha), the room’s located in an AT&T dead zone giving me the opportunity to discover this streaming media perk. Though, as a Slingbox owner and football fan, I don’t find it very compelling.

  1. The only time I ever spent more than $400 a night for a hotel room was on my honeymoon! And that came with a stunning strip of Mexican beach right outside my door!

  2. You obviously don’t stay in Manhattan as often as I do! I may not have had a room under $300 in the last year. Of course, I’m also here for work – weeknights are more pricey and my travel is often last minute.

  3. Dave, as an alternative to the $400 a night, you can go over to the Manhattan Apple Store, I hear people are still in line ( and sleeping on cots for free! ) waiting to get their iPhones. ;)
