Hmm a major update, could it be Netflix? Maybe the rumored Blu Ray drive? I sure hope we see Netflix!

Have you tried the Zune software.It allow me to stream some formats that MP11 won’t and vice versa.It’s kinda dumb but it works well.Just make sure xbox sharing is on and you point it to the right folders.I gave up on the MCE a long time ago becuase it keeps crashing and takes forever to get running again.

If you had to guess, you you think they’ll ever (a) update software for the HD add-on drive to allow for 24fps; and/or (b) allow .avi streaming from my Windows Media Center desktop to my 360? I cannot stream most of the stuff on my computer, and its maddening. I know I can put the file on the USB drive, but I strung CAT6 wire in my walls for a purpose, dammit.
