We got it this week here in Plano, Texas and it looks amazing. The selection isn’t huge, but what’s there is good enough. I watched one of the Planet Earth shows on Discovery HD-VOD and it was just as stunning as watching it on the regular HD channel.

We’ve had the HD-VOD here in New England since December and the selection has certainly improved since the launch. As noted by an earlier comment, the PQ is excellent.

Was watching some Planet Earth stuff last night, cause I figured it’d be the best test of the service. Looked mighty fine! No dropped frames, etc.

I’ve been waiting for this but not actually expecting to see anything anytime soon. (I’m in LA-area)

Looks like we’ve got HDTV with most of the standard fare, HD movies (I can finally see Bourne Ultimatum! Having young kids means not seeing movies…you were warned) and HD Events.

I happened to notice it tonight, but I didn’t watch anything. I’m still trying to plow through the last few weeks of In Treatment.

I was disappointed that there’s no HBO HD On Demand.

There’s CBS, a bunch of Music channels, HDNET, FEARNET (I think. A horror network) DiscoveryHD, and a few other random collections. Then there are about 15-20 Pay-Per-View movies for $5.99 each. I’m likely to watch Transformers this weekend. I’ll let you know how the quality looks.
