Molly Wood of CNet made a comment about the separate passes. Someone at CNet wanted to go blog something but was turned away from the blogger’s room because he has a press pass. Seems pretty darn silly to me.
I’m at the press lounge now in the Sands. Kind of a depressing atmosphere, but I’ve got good power and Internet connections. And I saw some cake. Might have to get some cake.
I was trying to look upset that I had the blogger badge. (Though I could care less which badge I have - I’d like to think both titles apply… and are interchangeable.) Jason, I heard the blogger lounge is nice with couches and Starbucks coffee. If only I had time to relax… But I am having a ton of fun!
Hey Dave - I was watching DL.TV today (episode 212 from CES) and was surprised when all of a sudden - there you were! Too bad they spelled your name wrong (Dave Satz). About 10 minutes into the video: http://dl.tv/2008/01/dltv_ep_212_we_have_products_g.php
Cool, I’ll have to check it out! Hopefully I did OK. I recall them giving out beads at one of the evening press events. Those events are generally more casual with food and drink (and sometimes beads).
Hatter, Some shows use their own staff or bring in guests to help cover the show, and G4 brought in Dave Mathews (a buddy of mine, actually) who you see on camera. The response to our announcements and demos has been awesome, and there’s quite a bit of Sling-related filming going on — too much for one person to handle. So you’ll be seeing execs, product managers, and some marketing folks on camera. I did several yesterday including local television affiliates in Phoenix and LA, plus Shop NBC.
I don’t know if it’s my computer, my connection, or the site but I can’t get that DL.TV clip to play. Can someone who’s seen it reassure me I didn’t embarrass myself or Sling?
Dave,
You were not as sexy as the godaddy commercial DL injected into the video just prior to your segment but you did well. Good stuff. You make me want to get a Sling Pro HD.
Fondled @gartenberg's Sony Xperia X1 and @mattbuchanan's Blackberry Storm handsets tonight. Like *hardware* on both, software has issues...

@TylerPruitt Good luck with that... Satellite radio will live on, but your stock may not survive bankruptcy or liquidation. Remember WCOM.

Thank you Hilton sewing kit. I can now pop my iPhone SIM for a little still 5 megapixel and moving 640x480 Nokia N95 action tonight.

Melissa now thinks I'm a pervert. The live video on Qik's home page is a guy in his skivvies. Don't they check before spotlighting? Sheesh.

Today was a first... Corporate recruiter wants me to suggest a VP of Product. Hm, is there a matchmaking finder's fee involved? ;)

Dave, you look like you’re about to execute a search warrant or something. Now I know how you get the good info. Thanks
I’ve got a press pass, but found that the blogger lounge (at the Sands) is a nice place to be — a bit quieter, more space, and has cookies.

jealous.
Nice expression! Try to look like you’re having a little fun

Nice pic, but who is the skinny little guy standing next to Mari?
I was wondering who the hot girl was next to Dave???

BTW: what’s with the beads?

LOL Wow Dave thought we would get to see you work when G4tv covered the sling box.
