This thing still has one up on the Series 2 TiVo with the unencrypted QAM tuner. Can’t wait for the CableCard version of the Moxi.

A reasonable question and something both Megazone and I have asked repeatedly in terms of positioning this DVR model. Digeo’s also got another model in the pipeline that does indeed support CableCARDs (one M-Card) actually. I assume the interface and much of the functionality will be the same on both models, so I’m looking forward to playing with this unit (though I’m out of town next week for work, vacationing New Years weekend, and then 7 or 8 days in Vegas for CES – which is why I wouldn’t be a good beta tester).
