i keep my eyes on the circuit city ads, of the big retailers they typically have the best price. i picked up a samsung 32″ lnt3253h LCD from them for 899 and its awesome. with the built in QAM tuner, the hdmi ports (one on the side) hidden speakers and sweet blue light i couldnt resist. plus, most of the big retailers run 12 month + financing

One good place to check for HDTV prices over the holidays is DealTaker.com. They’ve got a ton of HD information as well as Black Friday ads.

I find CNET and PC Magazine good sources for HD set reviews. Consumer Reports has also had two issues covering this recently – flat panel reviews (Samsung tops for LCDs, Panasonic tops for Plasmas) and repair/warranty info. I’m still lovin’ my 42″ Panasonic plasma and I had my mom pick up the 32″ Vizio LCD ($600).
