I had fios installed on april 16th. The cable box was not shut on the outside of my house due to too many wires inside and nothing was done about it. The technician told me that he would run the cable under the siding and it is on top of the vinyl siding and nailed on.
In addition the technician took the liberty while doing what he needed to do on the computer by visiting a large number of porn sites, which popped right up on my brower history list when he left my home.
As far as the picture, apparently, you have to pay extra for each HD channel to get the channel in HD, even though I had the HD box installed. My Comcast service provided all the HD channels in HD on my HD set.
I am cancelling the Fios and going back to Comcast. My deepest regret is that I took off a day of work to have someone drill alot of unsitely hole in my house and violate me by using my computer to view porn. No one told me that I would have to hover over the technician to make sure he was "good" while he was here.
No to Verizon Fios, you really can't trust anyone anymore to do the right thing.

Also, I reside in Southern Mass and would like to have a Providence RI TV station as part of my lineup....instead of a Manchester NH station!!!!!!

'Bout time.
The last update this week finally restored the reminder function to usefullness. It actually changes to the channel you set the reminder for, what a concept, and it only took them nine months...

Love Fios so far. It has less HD channels than Cox in NoVA right now, but come Sept 22nd that will no longer be an issue. No problems with the DVR, and love the media manager feature. I only have 1 HDTV currently, but I am reading that you can now watch a recorded HD show on a HD STB in another room. If this is true, that will be great to have when we get another HDTV.

Has anyone figured out how to extend the FiOS Internet? A confirmed solution would be very helpful.
