Wow, I’m a bit surprised that the $200 rebate hasn’t gotten more press. That puts the S3 a lot closer to the THD (only $50 more according to the post). With the extra features coming out, now may finally be the time to upgrade from the S2. Tivo.com is even throwing in a free wireless adapter.
My gut tells me TiVo is clearing S3 inventory. Personally, I’d rather get the TiVoHD using the newest components. In fact, now that the THD is on TiVo Rewards (50k) I may just do that.
