Japanese gaming publisher Enterbrain is out today with July sales estimates:
- Wii - 396,752 units moved
- PS3 - 91,987
- Xbox 360 - 17,970
No surprises… The Wii’s on a worldwide tear. I plan on picking one up in another month or so once some of these upcoming games drop.
And speaking of upcoming games, the BIG news is that Grand Theft Auto IV has been delayed from Fall ‘07 until Spring ‘08. Ouch. Though not a console exclusive, the setback probably hurts the PS3 more than the 360 with (the exclusive) Halo 3 still tracking for a fall launch.

I’m so bitter about the GTA4 game being delayed. I’ve been waiting for this game almost as long as I had to wait for TiVo’s series 3. I had even already pre-ordered it and now I’ve got to wait another 9 months to play. I’m glad that they don’t want to put out a sub-par product, but I wish they’d quit releasing trailers and getting my hopes up, if they aren’t even close to getting this thing out.
Well, at least that delay means I can wait to make my decision between buying a 360 or a PS3… my not buying a console in 2007 will probably make my wife happy.
