I like the youtube player. Is that new?
I’m not sure on the aspect ratio, but it definitely looks hosed at the end of the video. The animation is widescreen, but I think my video stick was inputting and displaying 4:3 (which is what I told TiVo to display after I pulled it off my TV). I recorded via BeyondTV and trimmed via Windows Movie Maker. I probably spent too much time on it, but thought folks would dig it while they wait around for their boxes… And like you I found those movie/television spots noteworthy.
Thanks for sharing. I’m glad that startup animation isn’t on *my* box.
The S3 one is more subtle and adult. I’m not sure how much the THX crescendo added to my cost, but I love hearing it every time.
