After Day 2 of the Search Engine Strategies Conference 2007, Bear Stearns concludes TiVo is in a good position to ride the coattails of online video advertising (spending increased 82%). Bear Stearns writes:

While online video advertising will compete with DVRs, especially in a converged world, there are similarities — targeting “in-market” purchasers, interactivity, measurability — that will attract advertisers to the DVR solution. Moreover, TiVoCast can deliver online video ads, which makes it complementary. In addition, as advertisers develop online content/strategy, the same content can be used with DVRs — lack of long-form/interactive ads has been a challenge for TiVo.
