ZNF: What We’re Watching

Terps beat Canes!

Seeing as how the new fall season is well underway (and in some cases nearly over), we thought we’d share the top programming on our DVRs. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…

  1. Mega: MI-5 on A&E (at least in the past) edits down the BBC version to accommodate commercials. We Netflix the originals to get the whole thing. Glad to see I’m not the only sicko watching Drawn Together.

  2. “Ugly Betty” is the other new show besides “Heroes” this season that I’m enjoying.

Previously I didn’t get to watch it because it conflicts with “Earl” and “The Office”, but the arrival of the dual-tuner Tivo Series 3 solved that problem. I’m looking forward to catching the episdoes I missed in reruns.

  3. You got most of my favs though you missed Friday Night Lights. Not getting the ratings, but its first class TV all the way. And South Park, Colbert Report and Daily Show have permanent season passes on my Tivo.

  4. Mythbusters, The Soup, PTI, John Stewart and the best reality show this year – Everest: Beyond the Limit on Discovery. Oh and that crazy stock picking guy who throws crap everywhere.

  5. We’ve got Friday Night Lights accumulating on the S3 and will catch up at some point. I see PTI and Daily Show at least once a week. I used to watch Kramer in the gym, but got tired of his shtick after awhile.

  6. Dexter on Showtime. Michael C. Hall from Six Feet Under gives a Killer performance. The concept is unique. Very well shot. Some of the peripheral characters are week, but overall extremely compelling. You should be watching this.

The Nine. A really good show that appears to be sliding under the radar. Are you defined by how you act when someone has a gun pointed at you?

    The Office (US version).

Extras on BBC or HBO. Another Ricky Gervais show you almost can’t watch. With amazing guest performances. You have to see the Patrick Stewart show!

John Stewart. Less compelling this year, but still a staple.

Countdown with Keith Olberman. What Journalism should be, but usually isn’t.

House of course. Got a little off track in some of the episodes this year, but still one of the best/funniest shows on TV.
