Turns out that video on our TiVo boxes promoting free (with subscription) Series 2 units isn’t the only holiday advertisement they shot… The elves had a little too much egg nog and busted out this Christmas rap while the camera was rolling.

This seems like it might be an effort for free advertisement, viral style. We’ll see if it works.
It’s my understanding the performers were just goofing off while filming the “real” advertisement and this song was spontaneous, not scripted. So they ended up with some extra footage.
Speaking of viral, I still can’t get anyone at TiVo to comment on that Aliens video from a few months back. Davis Freeberg suspects it was outsourced to an ad agency. It seemed like there was supposed to be a second installment. Wonder if we’ll ever see it?
