October? I sure hope that’s wrong and the rumor mill that’s been saying this week or next week is right, I need my S3! :)
Dave – Still wondering what “thru Nov. 2” means.
My initial hunch is because this was part of an advertisement, the prices are good thru that date. It doesn’t really apply to the S3, though, since there is no list price. Or maybe they just expect to sell out very quickly. ;)
Still waiting for Tivo to somehow stumble their way through a release announcement.
Yeah, the release announcement should be coming sometime soon I hope. Its too bad its soooooo expensive, but my S1 is starting to die (s-video is cutting out for 60 seconds sometimes while watching recorded shows) so my wife has blessed the purchase, thankfully. :)
They said the same thing about Sirius’s Stiletto coming out in 10/01, but as for the TiVo S3 pre-order thing, I’ll believe it when they say it.
